Vogue have recently announced a new live editorial fashion show and street fair for people around the world to take part in on 12 September, during New York Fashion Week.
Titled VOGUE World: New York, it is inspired by the theme of Vogue’s September issue, Fashion’s New World, and has been put together in celebration of Vogue’s 130th anniversary. It aims to celebrate the new influences and people shaping the fashion world. Anna Wintour explained the event’s pertinence to New York, defining New York as ”a city that is as restless, as dynamic and as revitalized as fashion is today.”
It will feature a runway show, showcasing the Fall/ Winter 2022 collections from Dior, Coach, Balenciaga, and more.
For people attending in person, there will be a street fair experience, where limited edition items will be able to buy, as companies such as Nordstrom have collaborated with the event. A cinematic livestream will also be held on all of Vogue’s platforms and Twitter. Behind the scenes content will be available to see throughout the day.
It is a one of a kind event from the Condé Nast brand, with ticket prices ranging from $130 to $3,000. Celebrities have been in collaboration with Vogue to promote it, with Lil Nas X and Hailey Bieber featuring in the announcement poster.
New York Fashion Week will be held on the week commencing 12 September, and access to VOGUE World: New York can be reserved now.
