High Fashion Talks Graduate Competition and How to Enter

Darcey Sergison looks at High Fashion Talk’s latest graduate competition and why you should enter.

High Fashion Talk (HFT) has just launched a new and exciting competition which all graduating designers of the Class of 2020 should enter.

HFT facilitates the high fashion conversation with cross-platform content and real-world experiences, informing and engaging a progressive, culturally conscious, and diverse intergenerational community of over 6 million people worldwide.

HFT aims to support all graduating designers in this turbulent year. As Graduate Fashion Week and fashion shows were cancelled this year, the graduating class has not had the opportunity to showcase their latest collections. These graduate fashion shows are the accumulation of months and years’ worth of work to produce the perfect eye-catching collection.

With these shows no longer taking place, HFT has teamed up with partners to create a chance for fashion graduates to reach wider audiences with their collections. These partners include Hundred Showroom and Aspect among many more renowned companies.

As well as this, the panel of judges consists of experts from around the world who have experience in creating content and managing audience consumption to attract a following for your brand. With this expert team behind you, you will be sure to make your mark in high fashion if you are lucky enough to be chosen as a winner of this amazing competition.

The HFT Graduate Designer Search facilitates graduates to reach the high fashion audience, consumers, press, and professionals. This opportunity is sure to kick-start your career by creating essential engagement within such a fast-paced community.

The best designers and their collections will be selected to be featured further across participating platforms and receive further support to build their audience. In order to enter the competition, you will need to provide two aspects:

  1. Visual Content- This means that you need to provide media which will work across all types of social media as well as print and websites. It is important to consider this when shooting your collection.
  2. Collection Notes – This includes the inspiration behind your work as well as the personal stories which have aided the collection.

The top designers will be chosen to receive prizes and support packages provided by the partners involved on the basis of who will benefit the most. These packages are invaluable for an up and coming brand so be sure to present your collection in its best possible light.

Entries close on 10/09/2020 at 14:00 so be sure to enter before the opportunity is gone.

To submit entries, enquiries and questions email contact@highfashiontalk.com.

All media must be sent via WeTransfer, Dropbox or other data transfer methods.

Good luck to all the graduates who enter, and we look forward to seeing the new and exciting emerging brand winners.
