LONDON, SEPTEMBER 2026 — Peruvian designer Genaro Rivas presented his Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear collection, A Shard Reborn, at a private presentation held during London Fashion Week on 17 September 2026 at 30 Knightsbridge, London.

Continuing his exploration of rupture, reconstruction and transformation, A Shard Reborn examines what can emerge from what remains. The collection marks an evolution in Rivas’ design language, bringing together reconstructed garments, tailoring, leather, hand embroidery, crystal application, hand-painted pieces, textile interventions and material innovation.

A collection about breaking, rebuilding and allowing transformation to leave a mark.

At the heart of A Shard Reborn is the idea that breaking does not necessarily mean ending. A fragment can carry the memory of what it once was while becoming something entirely new. Rather than concealing the previous existence of garments and materials, Rivas allows their histories to become part of the design language.

Several pre-owned garments, including pieces sourced through eBay, were dismantled, reworked and reimagined through handwork and new interventions. Olga Mieloszyk supported the development and transformation of these pieces throughout the making of the collection.
Much of the collection’s accessories were sourced from pawn shops and auctions across the UK and Sweden, with the selection made by Dayli Jewels. Pieces that had already lived previous lives are given new meaning through revisiting, becoming part of Rivas’ approach to reconstruction and reinvention.
