Season three of Amazon’s ‘Making The Cut’ premiered on 19 August on Prime Video. Two episodes of the show will drop weekly until 9 September, as 10 designers will compete for a $1 million investment in their business, and a mentorship with Amazon Fashion.
Season three will be hosted by Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum, and judged by Nicole Richie and Jeremy Scott, with guest judges including Chloe and Halle Bailey, and Wisdom Kaye. While the past two seasons of the show left it having an average 67% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, fans have been excited for it to be back on their screens, as it became a lockdown comfort for many.
The show works in partnership with Amazon Fashion, as viewers can shop each episode’s winning works on the website.
This season, this show has also partnered with activewear brand Champion, as the winner of episode two’s challenge, Rafael Chaouiche, has his collection available to buy on the Champion website. And such moments will continue to happen, as President of Amazon Fashion, Muge Erdirik Dogan, revealed that, ”with each season of Making the Cut, we aim to create even more surprise and delight moments for viewers, while also expanding selection for our customers.”
The show’s previous winners have gone on to vast success. Season one’s Jonny Cota has a boutique at Row DTLA, and season two’s Andrea Pitter has opened a store in Los Angeles, on the same street as Cota’s, and recently debuted a new line.
The first two episodes of ‘Making The Cut’ are available to stream now, and are available in more than 240 territories and countries.
