London Runway Shoot Days

What’s a shoot day?

Get your portfolio updated, network with other models, and have a lot of fun in an iconic part of London!

London Runway Shoot Days cover several 2-hour timeslots on the day. You have the option to join us at any of the timeslots that suits you best. We set a maximum of 6 models to be in the group at all times, so you won’t have to compete for space. You will, however, get to network with up to 5 of your peers as well as an official London Runway staff photographer!

For 2 hours, you’ll walk around with us in an exciting, interesting part of London. At each stop along our route, you have the option to jump in front of the camera – you get to pick and choose which scenes you prefer. We’ll be sharing the day on our socials and invite you to do the same for your own followers!

After our shoot day, you will receive 5 edited shots of your choice, yours to use as you wish. They make great portfolio boosters and above all, memories of a fantastic, fun-filled experience. You can find more information below the booking options.

London Runway Shoot Days are now on break for the winter! Due to the outdoor nature of our shoot days, we’ll be back when the weather starts to warm up in the spring. Please leave your name and email below if you’d like to be notified when slots are available to book.

How does it work?

In the morning, you’ll receive an invitation to a WhatsApp group so you can follow along with our progress. Whether you want to come along for the start or join a little later, you can send us a message to find out where we are at any time. The exact location is kept secret from the public, but we’ll let you know which Tube station we’re closest to as well as dropping our current what3words in the group.

Once you arrive, our assistant will sign you in and keep track of your time. Jump into a shot whenever! After two weeks, you’ll receive a contact sheet of your images (a preview of the thumbnails) so you can decide which ones you want to keep.

All of the images you’ll see on this page were taken at previous shoot days.

What do I bring?

Come with your hair and makeup (if applicable) ready. You should bring at least two outfits which are photo-ready – we’ll take opportunities to change at cafes or suchlike along the way. A maximum of 4 looks would be enough, to make sure you don’t spend too much time changing and not enough time in front of the camera!

As for what to wear – that’s totally up to you! Try to make sure it’s weather-appropriate and that you feel comfortable, confident, or even sexy in your outfits. This will shine through in your images! Comfortable footwear is far more important than killer heels as we may not even include your feet in all shots (see our examples below) and you’ll need to keep up with the group. If in doubt – a classic well-fitted suit or a fitted shirt with plain slacks/jeans works well for all genders.

If you have access requirements, please let us know. We’ll do our utmost to accommodate you – we’re quite happy to change our plans or bring in new innovations as required to make our shoot days accessible for everyone. This may include wheelchair-friendly locations only, stations with step-free access, accompaniement with your own guides, translators, or carers, or whatever you may require. We’re always learning, so please work with us to ensure everything is perfect for you – don’t be shy to speak up about what you need.

Refreshments are not provided, so make sure that you have plenty to eat before you come and that you’ve got a bottle of water with you. There will be opportunities to purchase food and drink along our way if you need more than anticipated.

Bring your smartphone and your Instagram account – be ready to network with your fellow models and post, post, post!

FAQs

Can I cancel my booking?

Bookings are nonrefundable as we may book equipment, staff, and other costs based on the numbers of participants well in advance of the event. However, if you’re no longer able to make it, please email us and we will transfer your booking to another date.

What if the event gets cancelled?

In the event we have to cancel the shoot day – something we will aim to avoid as much as possible – you will be refunded.

What if the weather is bad?

We will have contingency plans – please still arrive as planned for your shoot day.

What if I have no modelling experience at all?

That’s okay! We’ll help you. This is a great environment to experiment and learn, from watching others work and listening to our feedback.

What if I want more images?

You may contact your photographer after seeing your contact sheets and request more than 5 images. This can be arranged at an extra charge (TBC per event).

Can anyone attend?

Yes! You will be required to sign a consent form, so if you are under the age of 18, please have a parent or guardian to accompany you. We will do our best to accommodate absolutely anyone who wishes to join us.

If you’re a makeup artist, fashion designer, accessory designer, stylist, hair stylist, or so on – you are also welcome to join us. You can either showcase your skills on yourself, or bring along a model to showcase them for you. We require one ticket per person to be photographed, so if you just want to come along to style your model, there’s no extra charge.

Are there any hidden costs?

No! We’re keeping the costs down by making it a group event. Later we will increase the prices, but for now, we’re keeping them low as an introduction. If you want further images, as above, you can choose to pay more – but this is entirely optional.

Will you be visiting [x] location?

Maybe! Drop us an email via our contact form to suggest or ask about a location. Our most commonly visited areas will be Shoreditch, Camden, Highgate Woods, and possibly more that we will add to our permanent rotation after testing.
