For Tori, fashion has never been just about clothing. It is about how a woman feels when she wears it and, more importantly, how she sees herself.
That perspective is rooted in an unusual but compelling combination of experiences. With a background in Human Rights and Diplomacy, alongside hands-on training in garment construction and pattern-making, Tori approaches fashion from both a technical and human-centred point of view.
Her early exposure to tailoring, learning directly from a local tailor, gave her an understanding of how garments are built from the ground up. But it was her later work with independent fashion brands that allowed her to explore how those garments could be shaped, styled and presented in ways that communicate identity.
Having collaborated with emerging designers, Tori has contributed to collections through silhouette refinement, pattern development and styling direction, often working closely with creative teams to shape the visual outcome of a collection.
“Understanding how a garment is constructed changes how you approach it creatively,” she explains. “You’re not just styling what’s there, you’re thinking about how it could be improved, how it moves, how it feels.”
What sets Tori apart is not just technical awareness or creative instinct. It is a clear and evolving philosophy: that fashion can be used as a tool for confidence, particularly for women navigating complex or transitional stages in their lives. Her philosophy explores how clothing can support women in reconnecting with themselves, whether that means rediscovering personal style, rebuilding confidence after life changes, or simply feeling comfortable in their own identity.
“Fashion can sometimes feel exclusive or intimidating,” she says. “But I think it has the potential to do the opposite, to make people feel seen, supported and confident.”
Rather than focusing solely on traditional fashion outputs, Tori is interested in creating experiences where fashion becomes a medium for storytelling and transformation. Central to this is the idea of rethinking the runway, not just as a showcase for garments, but as a space where confidence can be experienced in real time.
Alongside this, Tori continues to work closely with designers and creatives, contributing to projects that balance aesthetic direction with deeper narrative. Her ability to move between technical understanding and creative expression allows her to engage with fashion at multiple levels, from garment structure to visual storytelling.
As conversations around identity, inclusion, and representation continue to shape the future of fashion, voices like Tori’s are becoming increasingly relevant. Her work offers a reminder that fashion does not have to exist solely within the boundaries of trend or appearance. At its most impactful, it can become something more personal and more meaningful.
In a fast-moving industry, that kind of intention stands out.
